Tips for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • To get the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Surf Capsule suite - coastal retreat in iconic Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
