Booking the best Indian Beach vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Morehead City area. Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Morehead City rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Seascape - The Perfect Oceanfront Getaway! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
