Full of the classic charms of North Carolina's Crystal Coast, this adorable bungalow brings breezy comfort to any Beaufort escape. This is a place to spend your days sipping coffee on the front porch swing, strolling downtown, and calming at sunset in the cavernous and enclosed yard. This bungalow features a fenced piece of property across the road from Taylor Creek, about three-quarters of a mile from historic downtown Beaufort. You'll be within walking distance of the Island Express Ferry Service, the North Carolina Maritime Museum, the Beaufort Historic Site, and a variety of stores and eateries. Public beach access on Radio Island (less than four miles), Atlantic Beach (eight miles), and Fort Macon State Park (10 miles) are close by as well.

Constructed in 1945, the home is bright and inviting, offering generous windows, hand-painted coastal-themed artwork, and thoughtful updates throughout. Highlights include a polished kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a formal dining room, and a living room where you can curl up with a good movie or a book from the shelves. After a day at the beach, come home to toss your swimsuits in the washer/dryer, relax in central air conditioning, or linger outside on the porch with appetizers and cold drinks.

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Morehead City vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months.   • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
