Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Book your Morehead City rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Keeper's Retreat, Townhouse in Historical Beaufort, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If not, email the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
