Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Beaufort:

  • First, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Coastal hideaway in downtown Beaufort. Walk to shops and restaurants! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
