This community, known as The Lookouts, lives up to its name! It offers an exceptional vantage point for expansive vistas of folks venturing to and from Atlantic Beach and The Circle, along with a clear sightline straight to the ocean. Located just over the causeway, this island hideaway is cotton-candy-colored against brilliant blue skies and just as sweet! In the center is a gem-like pool surrounded by swaying palm trees—the temptation to dip your toes or jump right in is strong!

At this two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, the interior has been refreshed to be the ultimate in enjoyment, comfort, style, and appeal. The open layout is cavernous yet comfortable, with walls of windows that let in loads of natural light. The living space features plenty of places to watch the world go by, admire the sky and water vistas and relax. Both bedrooms feature queen sleep number beds for the deep sleep you crave while on vacation. The en suite primary bathroom was expanded and updated with a handsome bespoke-tiled shower with an upgraded wall mount shower head as well as a rain shower head above for a spa-like experience.

The name Reef Points Wardroom itself imparts good vibes of a nautical nature. The Wardroom is a sanctuary where naval and other military officers gather to relax and appreciate well-deserved R & R. Camaraderie, lively conversations, catching up on the latest news, and sharing a few laughs over drinks on the deck... Channel the Wardroom spirit! Kick off your boots—or flip-flops—whip up a drink and savor the lifestyle of “the beach.”

The shore is a brief walk away and beckons with its calming waves. The pier entices fishing adventures, and there are plenty of options for ice cream and treats on the boardwalk and many fine-dining eateries. Don't miss out on browsing the local stores for souvenirs; mementos are a must for a vacation to remember!

Savor your stay at Reef Points Wardroom, the quintessential Crystal Coast getaway.

Tricks and tips to get the optimal Morehead City vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best vacation home in the Morehead City area:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Reef Points Wardroom in Atlantic Beach, NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
