Finding the best Morehead City rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your Morehead City rental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Come, relax and enjoy all that Atlantic Beach has to offer!! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
