How to book the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Morehead City area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Impeccable home w\/ pool on the desirable Ocean Ridge Drive of Atlantic Beach, NC has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
