About this Property

  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home

The clean whites and grays of the condo interior mimic the colors of a sea gull. The furnishings is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed for both the foodie who loves to prepare and the guest who is heating up leftovers from one of the many local eateries, most of which are within 1/2 of a mile. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a couch bed in the living room, so the unit can sleep 6. There is a full bathroom with a shower in the primary bedroom, and the full bath off of the living room has a tub/shower enclosure.

The beach is literally just steps away. Step out on the balcony, walk down the stairs, go to the end of Money Island Drive (150ft), turn west (right) go another 50' on Glenn Street, and the state beach access is right there. The beach is wide and inviting, with white sand and teal water that evokes scenes from the Caribbean.

Units A and B (upstairs and downstairs respectively) share a ground floor charcoal grille and an open outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. Pet friendly!

Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Morehead City area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. A Walk on the Beach B gets your feet in the sand within 250 ft. Pet friendly has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
