How to find the best vacation home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Morehead City area:

  • To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Bev's Beachfront Bungalow has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
