Strategies to get the best Beaufort rental home experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to book:

  • To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Morehead City restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best rental in Beaufort:

  • First, have your family choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Enjoy beautiful historic Beaufort at Beaufort Harbour has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
