The sense of nostalgia is strong here — with swim stores and ice cream stands dotted along the boardwalk. It’s a throwback to simpler times and painless, fun family days spent strolling the shore for leisure.
Now, you will find fresh dining, beach stores and bars with high-quality beverages, with the same southern spirit and friendly vibe this area is known for.

When you stay at Marley’s Retreat, you can count on simple access to the beach — and the action— whether you head straight to the sand or watch the fun from the balcony, it’s the ideal place to savor it all. Wave to passersby, watch the waves in the distance and wait for the sun to dip down over the ocean in a fiery glow.

Inside, relax and revel in the comfort of this freshly constructed townhome. Natural tones and textures bring in the feel of the outdoors with subtle sophistication and style. With an open layout, enormous living and dining spaces, and a gourmet kitchen, your family and friends will have plenty of room to move around, mingle or just be together.

The second floor features the primary bedroom with a king-sized bed and an inviting en suite bath with a modern-feel walk-in shower. The guest bedroom on this same floor is equally appealing, with a queen-sized bed and en suite walk-in shower. On the first floor, you will find an additional guest bedroom with another queen-sized bed, a washer & dryer and an en suite bathroom with a full shower and bath combo.

Embrace coastal living at its fines at Marley’s Retreat, where the relaxing sound of the waves meets the luxury of home. Your everyday escape awaits at this coastal gem on the Crystal Coast, where sunsets paint the sky, and the beach is steps from your door.

Tricks and tips to get the very best Morehead City vacation rental experience:

When to book a Morehead City rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Marley's Retreat-Oceanside Townhome in Atlantic Beach, NC has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
