Getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To book the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Morehead City restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. End Unit Townhome Located in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City beach you crave, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
