About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 4 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1650 square feet

If you're looking for convenience to the beach, water vistas, direct water access, a hot tub, outdoor shower, and privacy in a well-appointed beach home, Angels Landing is your kind of place! And, if you have a well-behaved and clean four-legged friend who you’d really like to savor your vacation with, we’ll allow him or her, too! (Dogs must be pre-approved by owners; a pet fee applies). Emerald Isle is dog friendly; they’re even allowed on the beach year-round and at nearly all outdoor eateries!

Our well maintained and appreciated bungalow rests on a one-lane, tree-lined street that dead ends at a court overlooking the striking Bogue Sound. The Sound is also partly visible from the bungalow's front yard and living room. The bungalow driveway is right off the court and has ample private parking.

Beach fans will appreciate how convenient the sand and warm ocean waters are from Angels Landing. Two different beach access points are a short walk or a 2-min. bicycle ride. The beach is such a short distance that it won’t be a problem to dash home for lunch, supplies, and naps, or to head back to the beach in the evening to witness sunsets that will take your breath away (see our photos for an example). Our south-facing beach has magnificant sunsets and features warm waters during an extended May through October/November swim season.

Our bungalow also sits on a canal that leads out to Bogue Sound. And new this year, a huge private dock! Launch your own kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes -- and use the two kayaks that we provide for adult use!

Back on land, our home features a giant 20x25 foot deck that includes a 6-person hot tub. The deck faces south, so it's ideal for sunbathing. Prefer the shade? The deck overlooks a private backyard that is shaded by mature Live Oak trees. Unwind on the dock or appreciate naps on a hammock under the trees. The deck is also ideal when the sun sets. It’s peaceful and the view is spectacular on clear nights if you look up! Suggestion: turn off the lights and look up at the stars from the deck. The lack of light pollution at this part of the island makes for a spectacular nighttime sky.

Under the deck you'll find a sizable, new outdoor shower that overlooks the backyard's huge Live Oak trees and canal. Shower outdoors and enjoy a handsome view of nature! And out front, you'll find a huge outdoor storage container with some beach chairs, some beach toys, a body board, and a skim board!

Inside, the well-equipped kitchen includes various gadgets that cooks will appreciate, a full-sized microwave and dishwasher, a Keurig machine, standard coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and other tools of the trade, along with a collection of spices. The adjacent dining area seats six and overlooks the deck through a enormous sliding door. We also provide a gas grille with ample gas and grilling silverware.

The family room has tons seating so for gathering comfortably. Appreciate conversation, games (we provide many!), the 65-inch QLED HDTV with a subscription to YouTube TV (like cable, but better!) and other streaming services. Savor the high-speed, wireless, encrypted internet access powered by a new Wi-Fi 6 router. We provide a peaceful, comfortable desk work space in one of the upstairs bedrooms, should you need to participate in a virtual meeting.

The bungalow offers three nice-sized bedrooms. The main bedroom is on the ground level and features a king bed with a new, high-end hybrid bed and a sizable HDTV. The main bedroom has its own bathroom with a large, step-in shower and a walk-in closet. Upstairs, the two large bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom with a full tub and shower. The first upstairs room has a queen bed, a large HDTV, and a private walk-in closet. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bunkbed, plus another HDTV. There's even a second upstairs walk-in closet adjoining the upstairs bath that has games and other toys that guests are complimentary to enjoy. Bed linens and bath towels are included and all beds will be made when you arrive (who wants to arrive at a vacation home and start making beds, right?!).

Like to discover, shop, or go out to eat? You’ll appreciate Emerald Isle! It’s an ideal beach town with many locally-owned eateries and seafood markets, stores, grocery stores, a movie theater, massage and nail salons, and other fun places to discover. The island offers a fishing pier, tennis courts, playgrounds, a wide bicycle path, and an economical water park that’s ideal for kids. The bridge to the mainland and all it has to offer is only 3 miles from the bungalow. We’ll have recommendations and resources for you to read about and access when you arrive and will provide some other useful info ahead of time, after you book. Our bungalow is ideally located because you get tranquility and peaceful when you want but is also close to the island’s stores and the mainland. The bungalow is a convenient drive from tons of close by towns to discover: Swansboro, Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, and Beaufort!

We want you to enjoy our home as much as we do and thank you in advance for considering the bungalow and taking care of it with the kind of appreciate that we do. We are the kind of hosts who want you to feel at home in our home and who respond quickly to your questions and requests. Our property manager is amazing and lives right down the street (and we adore supporting him because he's retired military), and all of our neighbors are amazing, kind people. The check-in process and staying in a vacation home shouldn't bring additional anxiety to your life, and we do our darndest to make sure it doesn't!

Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Morehead City area. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • To start, have your group agree to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Angels Landing! Walk to beach, hot tub on huge deck, canal, dock, kayaks! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
