Our top Beaufort vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to go & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. To get the best value, change your family's Morehead City vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the best rental in Beaufort:

  • First, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Home within walking distance of waterfront\/attractions with balcony & W\/D has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
