How to book the best vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Reserve your Morehead City vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Double Queen-Unit 201 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
