Morehead City vacation rental booking tips:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your Morehead City vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Pet-friendly - 3 Blocks to Beach! Unit 504 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
