How to find the best Morehead City rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental in New Bern:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Grey Goose (Waterfront) Historic New Bern - Private Beach - BRING YOUR BOAT! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
