
The North Carolina History Center, which is part of the extensive Tryon Palace, is a new 65 million dollar complex which transports visitors back in time to explore New Bern’s more than 300 years of local history. The North Carolina History Center has a far-reaching range of exhibits on the local history, which can span from the original Native Americans who first lived in the coastal Carolina area, to the town’s heyday as the original capital of the new state of NC. The Regional History Museum explorers all these stories in-depth through detailed displays that are stocked with antiques, relics and artifacts, while the Pepsi Family Center transports visitors through time via cool and interactive exhibits that the kids will love.
