Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:

When to book a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Queen Efficiency-Unit 402 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
