How to book the best Morehead City rental home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, change your family's Morehead City trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the best Morehead City rental:

  • First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Completely Renovated *Single* Beachfront Home Sleeps 10 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City beach you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
