Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Morehead City rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Completely Renovated *Single* Beachfront Home Sleeps 10 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City beach you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
