Getting the best Morehead City vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Morehead City restaurants and activities.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting and booking yourvacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Southwinds J-10: 2 BR, 2 BA Condominium in Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 4 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, email the host before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's an individual Morehead City beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
