Tips for getting the best Morehead City vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your Morehead City vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanview condo Indoor\/Outdoor Pool, 150' Waterslide, Hot Tub, Putt Putt Wifi has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
