Tricks and tips for getting the best Morehead City vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront corner 3 Bedroom 2 Bath first floor condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
