Morehead City rental booking tips:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your Morehead City rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Morehead City area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Beaufort:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. New modern farmhouse with large porches, king beds, game room, accessible has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
