Finding the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
