Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Double Queen-Unit 105 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
