Additional half bath for added convenience. Single garage is offered for storage of beach chairs, umbrella, etc. There is also a propane grille available for use. Appreciate the convenience of WiFi, washer/dryer, and during your stay. The private pier offers direct water access for kayaking (not supplied), fishing, crabbing, or simply soaking in the sun! When the day is complete, savor cooking in the striking kitchen or grilling outside. Outdoor shower is also available or showering or washing off after a day in the sand! A 1-min. drive will take you to historic Fort Macon, where you can experience history in this Civil War-era fort. Walk through fort and along the nature trails and experience the natural beauty of the island. Morehead City, home of the annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament, is directly across the sound from our home and can be reached in a short drive over the island bridge. With a 15-min. drive, you can experience historic Beaufort, NC and all it has to offer. Beaufort is a known home of the infamous pirate, Blackbeard, where his shipwreck was located just outside of Beaufort Inlet. Walk through the streets, take in local seafood and shopping, and see the wild horses on Carrot Island. Take a boat tour to close by Cape Lookout National Seashore, and experience Carolina coast at its best!
