• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
• Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
• When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.

If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
