• Operating equipment
o Leave A/C on COOL and AUTO. DO NOT set temperature below 70 during summer!
o If you are adjusting the temperature, do not change it by more than 2 degrees per cycle (the time it takes to reach the 2-degree change).
o Fridge is to be left on NORMAL settings.
o Blinds need to be kept closed during the heat of the day.
o Doors and windows should be closed when outside temperature is above 72 degrees.
o Manuals for most equipment are available in binders in the kitchen.
• Trash pickup and recycling
? Trash = Monday & Friday = Green Bins
? Recycling = Wednesday = Blue bins
? Please put the appropriate bin at the street the nighttime before or very early on the collection day.
• BEDS must have comforters, bed pads, and pillows back on them. Remove sheets and pillowcases and place them in the bags supplied.
• ALL FURNITURE is to be put back in its original place.
• NO FOOD LEFT in refrigerator or throughout the home.
• ALL TRASH is to be taken to outside bins BEFORE checkout.
• ALL DISHES are to be washed AND put away
• Please remove all personal effects (check under beds) we cannot save items left behind
• NO SMOKING in any part of the home or the decks due to extreme fire danger
• NO PETS violation will lead to a penalty fee and/or eviction (please respect other residents with sever allergies
• LOCK ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS before checking out.
• If you complete these items, we will return your full $250 security deposit!

Emerald Isle offers Family fun for everybody....with bicycle and running trails that run parallel to Emerald Dr, miniature golf, go carts, water slide, great shopping in Emerald Plantation, movie theater, eateries that include everything from pizza to burgers to Seafood. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a must see to find out what the "catch of the day" is. If you just need to relax, pull up a chair and savor the ocean waves while reading a good book. We've got you covered.
Emerald Isle also offers a Public Boat Ramp (no costs) located at Jean Preston Park about mid way the island. (near Chapel By the Sea). There is a play ground and public restroom located there as well. We have multiple kayak launch areas and parks within the city limits, including a Sound front park with dock located on Coast Guard Road and one on Cedar St. (great to go crabbing at) You may also appreciate Surf Fishing all along the 12 mile stretch of our handsome island. We have a Fishing Gear store and multiple Convenient Stores that offer bait, hooks and other fishing items you will need. Don't forget you need a Fishing License to Surf Fish but can enjoy fishing from the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier by purchasing a fishing pass for the day or week.
