About this Property

Come stay at our newly refreshed oceanfront home in the fashionable Ocean Oaks neighborhood at Emerald Isle. We offer a wrap-around ocean view from the kitchen and living area, along with ocean-facing windows in each of our 3 bedrooms.

Our goal is to make your family feel welcome in the cleanest rental you've ever experienced. After Hurricane Florence damage, we gutted the home so that everything is new, from the walls and floor to the kitchen appliances and tile bathrooms. Each bedroom features Casper beds, spa sheets, and a intelligent TV. Our kitchen comes well-outfitted, and we include your basic oils, spices, condiments, detergents, and paper goods with your rental.

Outside, sun yourself on the upper deck, or grab a spot in the shade on our lower deck. We have an enclosed outdoor shower with a changing area for those who like to feel the breeze. Beach chairs and a bucket of toys are supplied.

About the Area

Morehead City rental home tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing your prefectvacation home:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Remodeled Oceanfront Duplex in Quiet Ocean Oaks near the Point has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
