Beaufort rental home booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Morehead City area. Booking your Morehead City vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. BB's - Perfect Choice For Your Beaufort Vacation! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
