Years ago, when I was looking for a home on the island I came across this property. When I walked up the front steps for the first time, I entered into a relaxing little wonderland. Set up high on a sand dune surrounded by trees, this property is the ideal calming hideaway. Set smack dab in the middle of town, it is walking/cycling distance to nearly everything in Emerald Isle. It is 1 block from the sound and about 7 blocks to the ocean.

This vacation home is located in Emerald Isle. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. Emerald Forest Golf and Salty Pirate Water Park are also worth visiting.

When to reserve a Morehead City rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. To get the best rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.

  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
