Tricks and tips to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. To get the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Morehead City restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Morehead City area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Family Beach Vacation\n has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
