Our top Rental booking tips:

When to go & When to book:

  • To find the best value, shift your family's Morehead City vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Morehead City area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect rental in Emerald Isle:

  • Select a group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Magnificent Sandcastle ocean-front 7br, Private pool, hot tub, kids room, decks has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
