Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Morehead City area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Home, Stunning Views, Elevator! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
