Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Morehead City area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing your Morehead City rental:

  • To start, have your group select dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Newly Renovated-Amazing 360 views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sound -with Pool. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
