Tricks and tips to get the perfect Morehead City rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • To get the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose and book your Morehead City rental:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. OCEAN VIEWS, 2nd row, quiet area, private pool & volleyball court! has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
