Tips to get the optimal Morehead City rental home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Morehead City area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 1st Floor Unit With Ocean View, Swimming Pool, Elevators has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a specific Morehead City destination you simply love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. message the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
