  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1800 square feet

This roomy multi-level 1800 square foot home is just 75 yards from the beach. You will be astounded by the ocean vistas from nearly every window. Vistas from the decks are spectacular. Privacy of the protected sand dunes to the west makes this end-unit beach home a rare find.

Open concept kitchen, dining, and living room are on the upper level. There are ocean vistas from every angle. Living room sliding door opens to a enormous upper deck. Also on the top level is a game room for the kids, laundry room and full bathroom with a tub. The living and game rooms each have flat screen HD TVs with Roku and WIFI included.

There are three bedrooms and two full baths on the lower level. Each bedroom has a TV with Roku. The master bedroom has ocean vistas, an en suite cavernous bathroom with shower and soaker tub, and a sliding door walkout to sizable covered deck.

There is a unique courtyard just off of the decks with grass and palm trees, providing shady areas for relaxation and play. Multiple-car covered parking is under the unit, as well as a private hot water outside shower. There is also a covered picnic area with a gas grille for your use.

The beach can be accessed just across the shady courtyard ... no need to walk along the road. A beach-side playground with bathrooms and covered gazebo are steps from the ocean.

This unit is 1.5 miles east from the Morehead City bridge, so you can ride your bicycle or jog to the local stores and eateries. It is an painless walk along the beach to the Oceana pier to the west and Fort Macon State Park to the east. The new Atlantic Beach Skate Park and Mini-Golf complex is only a 6 min. drive (across from the Food Lion grocery store).

Morehead City rental property booking tips:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, change your family's Morehead City vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Morehead City area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Morehead City area:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Spectacular Oceanfront Views, Shady Oasis at Your Backdoor has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the host before booking the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
