Strategies to get the best Morehead City rental home experience:

When to reserve a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Morehead City area. Book your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Sound Of The Sea West 404, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
