Strategies to get the optimal Morehead City rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Morehead City attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. POOL & DOGS WELCOME! Easy Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
