Tricks and tips for getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Morehead City area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Morehead City visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Resort Atlantic Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Morehead City rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
