Captain's Choice is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath OCEANFRONT duplex with over 2100 square feet of living space that sleeps 14 people. The kitchen was completely modernized in the fall of 2017 and there is new furnishings in the living area and tons of new furnishings throughout the rest of the home. The main level has a entirely equipped kitchen with all brand new appliances in 2017, a granite topped eat-in island that can seat 4 people, a living/dining area with all new furnishings in 2017, and a queen sized bedroom with full bath that was refreshed in 2018. The second floor has 3 king sized bedrooms, 2 of which are oceanfront with decks, and 2 full sized baths, both of which were refreshed in 2019. The third floor is a ideal getaway for the kids featuring 4 single beds and a queen sized bed and is equipped with tons of toys and games. New beds were purchased for all beds in 2019. New floor was installed in 2023 and the entire interior was repainted in 2023. The duplex has complimentary WIFI, 6 cable TVs, charcoal constructed-in grille, DVD players, beach furnishings and toys, and hot/cold enclosed outdoor shower. Beach games include bocce ball, corn hole, volleyball, and a water table for the little ones. There is plenty of room to play and rest on the wide roomy beach that is only a very short walk from the home. Duplex is very private with its own separate walkway to the beach. The decking areas are all freshly modernized to meet current code standards.
Please note that Captain's Choice is rented by the week during the months of April through October from Sunday to Sunday. For the months of November through March, a minimum stay of four nights is required.

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Morehead City restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
• Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
• Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
• Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
• Did your group have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
