Tips to get the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:

When to book a Morehead City rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Morehead City visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. It's an easy 10 minute stroll to downtown has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Morehead City beach you simply love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
