Where to find and book the perfect vacation home:

Before you start to book "Spectacular Sound/Ocean View! Large Saline Pool, Elevator, Golf Cart", read through our short list of factors to consider.

Begin Your Search Early

Morehead City vacation rentals book months (and up to a year) in advance. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is usually recommended, when possible. Many groups choose to begin their search during Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve holiday gatherings.

Find your Area and Determine Dates

Consensus can be complicated between relatives, but as soon as this challenging part is finished everything will start to slide in place.

Selecting an Adequately-Sized Vacation rental

Determine who is traveling, and just how many/what particular bedroom arrangement you will need. Remember that that most rental homes advertise maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in the family room. You'll need to figure out what is acceptable for your family. Generally rental home listings will summarize each of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattresses.

Create a Spending Limit

Will your preferred vacation property fit your budget during that prime Summer week? If a few groups or family members are sharing the cost, be certain that each group understands their obligation and has agreed to a maximum they are willing to chip in. Typically, just one person in the group will be responsible for making the complete reservation and getting each person's contribution.

Let's Talk Amenities

What property features is the family interested in? Do you only desire a rental home with a pool, spa or beach volleyball court? Would you like to be away from it all, or near a city setting? Are linens included with the rental, or do you need to take your own? Create a list of priority features to facilitate narrow your search.

Special Concerns

Grandparents will thank you for not reserving a stairs-access-only condo on the Third floor. Make sure you remember and inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and special equipment requirements..

What About 4-Legged Family Members?

Are you or other people in the group visiting with a domestic pet? Dog guidelines are different at each rental. Read descriptions thoroughly. Many restrictions may eliminate a potential rental home. In addition to offering distinctive rental properties, local agencies offer you top-notch service..

When you have found your dream rental, make sure your trip dates are available.

While not true for all rental properties, many rental owners and property managers will make a deal on rates. If they are unwilling to budge on a peak-season stay, try getting an extra night. Negotiating rates is more effective through the off-peak season when many rentals sit empty.
