Bed sizes are 1 Queen Bed and a Queen Sleeper Couch. Condo has new Flat Screen TV's, floor and more. WIRELESS INTERNET and expanded Cable Network TV's. Short walk to the beach. Emerald Isle offers Family fun for everybody....with bicycle and running trails that run parallel to Emerald Dr, miniature golf, go carts, water slide, great shopping in Emerald Plantation, movie theater, eateries that include everything from pizza to burgers to Seafood. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a must see to find out what the "catch of the day" is. If you just need to relax, pull up a chair and savor the ocean waves while reading a good book. We've got you covered.
Emerald Isle also offers a Public Boat Ramp (no costs) located at Jean Preston Park about mid way the island. (near Chapel By the Sea). There is a play ground and public restroom located there as well. We have multiple kayak launch areas and parks within the city limits, including a Sound front park with dock located on Coast Guard Road and one on Cedar St. (great to go crabbing at) You may also appreciate Surf Fishing all along the 12 mile stretch of our striking island. We have a Fishing Gear store and numerous Convenient Stores that offer bait, hooks and other fishing items you will need. Don't forget you need a Fishing License to Surf Fish but can enjoy fishing from the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier by purchasing a fishing pass for the day or week.

Croatan National Forest and Hammocks Beach State Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Forest Golf. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are also worth visiting. Jet skiing, water skiing, and parasailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.

Cost saving strategies:

• In the Morehead City area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
• Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
• Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
• Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
• Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

• First, have your family choose date ranges and a maximum budget.

• Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.

• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
• Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
• When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Record a video to document the condition of the property.
• Did your family have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
