Emerald Isle rental home booking tips:

When to go & When to reserve a Emerald Isle rental home:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in the Morehead City area. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Morehead City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. A cozy retreat 5 min. from the Beach and located at The Point of Emerald Isle. has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a certain Morehead City destination you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
