Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Morehead City vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • In the Morehead City area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Morehead City visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Retreat \"Down East\" in Beaufort! - Waterfront, Private Dock, Kayaks, & Serenity! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
