Species like Amberjack, Barracuda, Black Drum, Wahoo, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Black Grouper, Black Fin Tuna, Gag Grouper, and more could be biting, depending on conditions. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Trips with Captain Joe's Charter are open to the whole family, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 26' Scout center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
